CORPORATE SPONSOR EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Why Corporate Sponsorship: Corporate sponsorship has a rich history of fostering innovations in technology and economic advances. In 1829, the Liverpool and Manchester Railway funded a contest between the steam engine and horse powered vehicles that began the concept of mass transit. In 1919, the first flight across the Atlantic Ocean because of a £10,000 corporate prize resulted in the commercial air travel industry. Lindbergh’s famous solo crossing of the Atlantic in 1927 was for a $25,000 reward. And more recently, the X Prize Foundation’s $10 million Ansari X Prize produced the first manned space flight by a private enterprise in 2004.

Corporate Sponsor Incentives: The Rocket Racing League™ (RRL™) first announced its formation in 2005 and has received tremendous press attention reaching a total of over 40 million people in thirty-three languages. Articles have appeared in media such as Forbes Magazine, USA Today, Popular Science, Financial Times, Flying, and Biz 2.0. Additionally, articles have been posted on Internet news sites like: ESPN, MSNBC, and BBC News. Soon to be published are articles in Outside Magazine, Men’s Journal, and the Robb Report.

Television exposure is on the horizon with a reality show featuring potential pilots wanting to be rocket racers. In addition, there will be episodes on the Discovery Channel “Speed Week”, National Geographic Explorer, MTV “Sports Blender”, and a schedule of six races to be nationally televised live in 2007.

The RRL™ has signed an agreement with the William Morris Agency to create revenue and branding opportunities. Auto racing circuits have done wonders for the corporate identity of sponsors, but the next generation of racing, the Rocket Racing League™, is projected to do even more. Unlike most auto racing circuits, the RRL™ will enable maximum exposure for sponsors by limiting the number of sponsors per team.

Why Bridenstine Rocket Racing Team™: Jim Bridenstine has assembled a matchless team of professionals. Team Pilots are US Navy trained and have experienced the challenges of Carrier Aviation in a combat environment. Because of its combined expertise in aviation, engineering, finance, marketing, and aviation maintenance, the Bridenstine Rocket Racing Team™ was chosen as one of only ten teams to race during the first Rocket Racing League™ season. Sponsorship of the Bridenstine Rocket Racing Team™ will support the University Intern Program where tomorrow’s leaders will get hands-on experience in addition to enhancing corporate identity on an international stage.
